Introducing Adam Edelbi

 Introduction

     - Hey!

My name is Adam Edelbi. I'm currently a freshman majoring in business, but nothing's set in stone yet. I'm originally from Canada, but I've lived here in San Antonio for most of my life. A few family friends of mine attended Trinity, and one of them is even a professor here! I've heard great things about Trinity, so I'm excited to see what the future holds.

Interests

     - Since I was pretty young, I've always had a bad habit of picking up new hobbies and then dropping them shortly after. Some of the random and useless skills I've picked up over the years include juggling, and dice stacking.

There are, however, a few of my favorite hobbies that I've stuck with for a while. I really love video games, tv shows, and books; they're some of the things that got me interested in drawing and art. I have a friend who's really into woodworking, and he taught me a few things about how to use the various woodworking machines to build frames for my drawings!

Here are a few things I've drawn over the last couple years!

I also like pen spinning, and I even used to build and sell my own weighted pen mods online.

This is a picture of one of the pen mods I made, called the Waterfall Mod

Additionally, I enjoy editing and creating YouTube videos, and going climbing. There's actually a really cool indoor climbing gym named Armadillo Boulders right next to Trinity. I've never been climbing outdoors on actual cliffs, but it seems fun, so hopefully I can try it out someday!

Expectations

     - In this class I expect to learn and understand the basic functions of the various tools we are going to use to bring our creations to life. I also expect to learn how to use online modeling software to plan and draw out what we hope to create. I think it would also be really cool to learn some things about mechanical engineering that will help us will help us take what we make to the next level in terms of usability and functionality.

Comments

  1. Your drawings look amazing! We can easily engrave them onto wood or acrylic using the laser. Dawson, our unofficial TA, has been perfecting a process to create multi color 3D prints from 2D drawings. I'm sure he'd love to show you. I haven't a clue what spinning or dice stacking is. You'll have to show me.
